The strategic focus of PlaceID team is assisting Ukrainian regional and local authorities in raising their national and international profile by means of PR, place and destination marketing. We practice a holistic approach to the reputation of regions and municipalities across the ‘invest in – work in – live in – travel to’ dimensions. The mother agency of PlaceID/ PRP Group, Weber Shandwick, has an extensive experience of developing and implementing communications platforms for more than 40 countries, regions and cities across the globe. Our expertise in Ukraine currently spans Lviv and Donetsk regions, as well as elaborating a communications strategy for the Association of Ukrainian Cities (National Association of Local Governments) within a USAID project to support local self-governance and regional development.
Our vision is to raise information awareness about strategic place & destination marketing tools among local governments, assisting them in better ‘packaging’ their tourist, business & investor attractions and making them more user-friendly for foreign and domestic audiences. For this purpose we are running placeid.com.ua – a special web page on place marketing (Ukrainian only) where we try to bring news and best practices from around the world to inform our regional & local authorities and consolidate the expert community. At the next stage we’ll be engaging experts & practitioners for a series of workshops, trainings and round table discussions.
We regard marketing, branding and PR as elements of wider regional development and destination management platforms, thus we seek cooperation with both local and international initiatives and projects.
